What it Feels like on the Inside

You wake up already exhausted, carrying a heavy knot in your chest or a constant, buzzing sense of edge you can’t seem to shake. On paper, you have it together—you get things done, show up for others, and keep moving—but beneath the surface, it feels like walking through life on high alert.

It might be hard to feel safe, quiet your mind, or truly let your guard down. You might find yourself trapped in loops of harsh self-criticism, constantly feeling like you aren’t enough, or pulling away from the people you love because emotional connection feels overwhelming.

It is lonely to feel disconnected from yourself, to live with reactions you don’t fully understand, and to carry the weight of yesterday into every single day. You don’t have to keep surviving on empty.

You don’t have to navigate this heavy, unfamiliar terrain alone. Think of me as a steady companion on your journey toward healing—a calm, grounded presence who walks alongside you as you process and discover your way forward.

I don’t expect you to have it all figured out, nor do I ask you to fix yourself overnight. Instead, I provide a safe, clear path forward, anchoring the process with proven tools like EMDR and EFIT while holding space for your exact pace. When past trauma feels disorienting or anxiety tries to take the lead, I am here to help you stay grounded, untangle the noise, and safely reconnect with who you are.

How We Work Together

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing):

The Neurological Reset. EMDR targets raw, unprocessed memories stored in your nervous system. By using bilateral stimulation, it allows your brain to reprocess lingering traumatic events, breaking the hold that past experiences or high-functioning anxiety have on your present life.

EFIT (Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy):

The Emotional Heart. Grounded in attachment science, EFIT helps you build a secure, compassionate relationship with yourself. It helps you move past deep-seated shame, self-criticism, and emotional numbness so you can feel safe in your own skin.

ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy):

The Mindful Direction. ACT teaches you how to unhook from intrusive, anxiety-driven thoughts rather than fighting them. By building psychological flexibility, you learn to clarify your core values and take meaningful action toward the life you actually want to live.

DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy):

The Grounding Toolkit. DBT equips you with practical, active skills for distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and mindfulness. It provides the immediate “in-the-moment” tools you need to calm an overwhelmed nervous system when stress spikes.

Why an Integrated Approach Works

Instead of forcing you into a single rigid framework, we blend these approaches based on what your system needs in the moment:

Build Stability First (DBT & ACT): You gain actionable tools to manage anxiety, stay grounded, and handle difficult emotions in your day-to-day life.

  1. Build Stability First (DBT & ACT): You gain actionable tools and insight to manage anxiety, stay grounded, and handle difficult emotions in your day-to-day life.
  2. Process the Root Wounds (EMDR & EFIT): Once you feel safe, we reprocess underlying trauma memories and transform negative core beliefs (“I am unsafe,” “I am not enough”) into deep self-acceptance.

The result is not just learning to cope with distress – you might just feel genuinely free, resilient, and more connected to who you are.
